Francis Belle has been involved in the residential construction industry since 1982. For over 20 years Francis and his wife Maureen have owned and operated FM Residential Designs and Consulting Inc. We specialize in residential mechanical design services for mechanical contractors, home builders and home owners including heating, cooling and ventilation designs.

After 18 years in the insurance industry Maureen started FM Residential Designs and has been involved in house design and energy testing of hundreds of new and existing homes for over 20 years. She has an extensive knowledge of the energy programs and has training in heat loss/heat gain calculations and ventilation through HRAI.

Francis has a strong background in building science and can provide services in the fields of construction science, radon and HVAC. Francis is an experienced trainer as well and has been educating people in the residential housing industry for over 30 years. He has studied the building code extensively and is especially knowledgeable in 9.25 (Heat Transfer, Air Leakage and Condensation Control), 9.32 (Ventilation). 9.33 (Heating and Air Conditioning) and 9.36 (Energy Efficiency) sections of the building code.
